General Information
Concession operators at the Cobourg Highland
Games must sell or promote Scottish related or themed
merchandise or services. Please indicate what you sell with your
application.
Only items listed on the application form may
be sold. Anything not listed must be removed, when asked by the
Concession Chair. Failure to do so will mean you will be asked
to close your concession and leave the park, with no refund.
The Cobourg Highland Games Society may limit
the number of vendors selling the same or similar products and
services listed on the contract. The Society, in its sole
discretion, reserves the right to reject an application from any
vendor.
Concession sites will be allocated in order of
receipt of the concession fee.
Vendors must be in the park, set up and ready
by 8:00 AM. Vendors not in the park by this time will not be
allowed access.
Limited overnight camping is available upon
request at Donegan Park on a first-come basis.
No games of chance are permitted.
New Vendors
If you have not been a vendor with the Cobourg
Highland Games previously, you must contact us prior to
submitting an application or remitting concession fees.
Food Concessions
Food concessions must be pre-registered with
the Kawartha Pine Ridge Health Unit and conform to all Fire
Safety Regulations. Contact the Kawartha Pine Ridge
Health Unit at: 905-885-9100 for regulations and Special Event
Permit application.
Food vendors
must have a Proof of Criminal Background Check, dated within 3
years preceding the date of the event.
All food
vendors using propane must provide us with a copy of "Attachment
#1 Inspection Certificate Director's Order FS-056-06 Mobile Food
Services Equipment" Certificate, as required by the Ontario
Standards Branch of the Ontario Government.
All Food
vendors must have a fire extinguisher, which is working and
up-to-date, on the premises.
Hydro
Please note that we have very limited
hydro outlets at our disposal. Concession operators are
required to provide their own 14 gauge outdoor extension cords.
These cords should be heavy enough to carry the required load
long distances, without overloading the circuits. e.g. 1st 50'
14 gauge, 2nd 50' 16 gauge for 5 amp load.
